PARENTS: In anticipation of what’s coming, I wanted to offer some transparency into what to expect financially should your athlete make the football team. For those that make it, there will be a $150 fee. This fee is broken down below: $50 - athletic dept fee - all athletes of all sports all year long must pay this fee. It goes toward field/court upkeep and maintenance, field paint for marking lines, referees, etc… $50 - new Under Armor integrated game pants. These pants are in, they’re new in the bag and will be yours to keep at the end of the season $50 - athlete spirit pack. We have designated uniforms we will wear in games, pads free practices, football specific activities we’ll do throughout the season, and certain workout days. This includes a maroon pair of LAJH shorts (can be doubled as PE shorts), a black dri-fit workout T shirt, and a custom sleeveless compression shirt they’ll be required to wear as a team under their pads for each game. Rest assured NONE of this money goes toward general spending and that there is a return of your investment as they’ll keep their gear at the end of the season. Once we decide on who will make the team, we will send an invoice to you via MySchoolBucks that must be paid ASAP for your athlete to participate. ALL players are required to have this gear and to pay the fee. Football Tryouts are next week. Mon-Wed - 7/28-7/30 4:00-7:00pm (Please be aware it COULD go until 8:30 in the case of inclement weather as we must complete by 7/30 ALL participants must be cleared in athleticclearance.com with current forms found on LakeAsburyJrAthletics.net Athletes should wear cleats (if they have them), athletic shorts, and an old light colored shirt that we can write a number on Cuts will be posted outside gym door by the end of the night on 7/30 as well as on LakeAsburyJrAthletics.net under Football/Roster From there practice will begin immediately on 7/31 at 4:00-6:30.
