Christina Thompson
Clay County Athletics has personally shaped Thompson’s life, and she believes deeply in their power to build character, discipline, and lifelong skills in students. This passion for athletics is rooted in a strong family legacy —her father, brother, and uncles have all served as coaches within Clay County, establishing deep ties to the community and its athletic traditions.
Beyond the field, Thompson has made a significant impact in school leadership. As an Assistant Principal at Oakleaf High School, she helped lead the Math Department to record-breaking student proficiency scores/gains, contributing to the highest school grade in Oakleaf’s history. For her efforts, she was named the 2025 Clay County Assistant Principal of the Year and went on to become a top three finalist for the 2025 Florida Assistant Principal of the Year.
Thompson holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from The American College of Education, and a Level II certification as a School Principal. This educational background and diverse experience in leadership have prepared her well to guide and support school athletic programs across the district.
As Coordinator of District Athletics, Thompson is committed to fostering programs that promote integrity, opportunity, and success for all student-athletes. She brings a heartfelt dedication to Clay County, its students, its coaches, and its schools. It is her honor to serve Clay County, and she looks forward to building on the district’s strong foundation of athletic excellence.
