Jay Stilianou
Jay Stilianou is a lifelong resident of Clay County who is deeply honored and excited to step into the role of Coordinator of District Athletics. Having been personally shaped by the lessons learned from athletics, his teams, and coaches, he recognizes how these experiences have built the foundation for the man he is today. Jay believes in the strong legacy of Clay County athletics, evident in the lives of former and current student-athletes, and eagerly anticipates the future of the program.
With nineteen years of experience as an educator in Clay County, Jay's journey began at his alma mater, Clay High School, where he served as a teacher, coach, and Athletic Director. Subsequently, he assumed the position of Athletic Director and 9th grade administrator at Middleburg High School before serving as Assistant Principal at Keystone Heights Jr/Sr High School. Throughout his career, Jay has actively fostered community and business partnerships, organized media and college signing days, and prioritized servant leadership and family engagement. These efforts have significantly contributed to the success of the schools' athletic programs both on and off the field.
Jay's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from The University of North Florida and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from The American College of Education. His passion lies in providing students from all backgrounds with high-quality learning experiences, both academically and athletically. He is dedicated to instilling essential skills and values for success, not only within the realm of athletics but also beyond. Jay is committed to creating a positive and supportive climate where all Clay County student-athletes can flourish, forming lasting memories that will shape their lives.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Jay's personal life is deeply intertwined with Clay County. His wife, daughters, and granddaughter all call the county home, sharing his commitment to seeing success for all students within the Clay County School System. With nearly two decades of experience in various leadership roles, Jay Stilianou is well-prepared to embrace this new and challenging opportunity as the Coordinator of District Athletics.
